Sweetly Organize IT

This week for"Sweetly Organize IT," I wanted to show you how I organized my master bathroom.It took about five minutes and I did it while Eli was in the bathtub. I used the same idea that I used for my son's bathroom. I used these fantastic bins from Target (in the $1 section).They are larger than the other bins I used and were $2.50 each.What a deal!

Here is the before

Basically, I took everything out and cleaned out the cupboard.

I put towels in one bin and toilet paper/cleaning supplies in the other bin.

Everything fit perfectly!

Pretty easy, right? It pays to buy the right bins for your home. It was fun and fast.If you have any organizing tips, please let me know. I love to read your comments! Try it Tuesday & Review {Giveaway}

Today for"Try it Tuesday & Review,"I have a special movie to share with you. It is also giveaway time so be sure to read the entire post. The movie that I was privileged to watch was... A mile in his shoes found {HERE}.

What is it about?

From the director of "Angels In the Outfield" comes an inspiring story about a special boy with an amazing gift, and the coach who believed. Dean Cain and Luke Schroder star in the gmc movie based on the book "The Legend of Mickey Tussler".

In my opinion, I was excited to see this movie. Dean Cain did an exceptional job as a coach and example to the boys. I loved his character because he was kind, loving and patient. I thought this movie was an amazing and touching story. I especially liked Luke Schroder who played Mickey Tussler. He played the autistic pitcher who joined a minor-league baseball team. I didn't like his dad at the beginning. But, I grew to understand him and put myself in his shoes. I am pretty protective over my son so I understand how difficult it would be to send him away. I'm not really looking forward to Kindergarten. It will be hard to say goodbye to my son for a few hours. Anyway, this movie was fantastic!

Sweetly Organize IT

It has been a long time since I posted something on"Sweetly Organize IT." Do you have a New Year's Goal to organize? I heard that January is the month to organize.I have a small goal to simplify our home and use up what we have. I noticed we have accumulated so much "stuff." Do you have a lot of "stuff" hanging around your home? Well, now is the time to simplify and give away things you don't use anymore. Or use it up or throw it away. Today, I wanted to share with you my Target find and how it helped me to re-organize Eli's bathroom. I found these small black bins in the $1 section at Target. I didn't realize till later that there were two to a pack so I had four and I was pretty excited. There were other colors so check it out soon or they will be gone. Here is a before picture.I thought it was pretty organized.

There are two bins with towels/wash rags, one bin with toilet paper and tissues and the other bin with soap/shampoo, etc.

I love these bins. They fit perfectly and look so much better than the baskets. They also match. Now, I just need some pretty tags to label my new bins. Thanks Target for providing cheap bins! They were $2.50 for a pack of two. What a deal!

In my opinion...

First of all, I want to thank Fisher Price for the generosity and for the opportunity of reviewing this product. Please check out Fisher Price on facebook found {HERE}, like them and let them know who sent you. What a fantastic toy! I am blown away! Did you know that Cranky is one of the most popular and important characters on Thomas & Friends? Well, if you haven't been exposed to Thomas & Friends, you are definitely missing out. I have recently become exposed thanks to my cute son Eli. He loves Thomas & Friends so I was excited to receive this railway set in the mail.

I think the best part about this railway is that it comes with a remote control so your child can control Cranky. What a great idea! And it was easy to figure out too. I was also blown away by the height (28" tall). Cranky also rotates 360 degrees. I know my son will love Flynn the fire engine. The best part about Flynn is that he charges out of his cargo crate to put out the fire. Flynn can be your child's hero that saves the day. The assembly didn't take long either. All I needed was a Phillips screwdriver and three steps later, it was assembled. I also thought it was nice that you could choose to turn the sound on or off. That way, you wouldn't hear it a hundred times a day. Overall, I am pretty impressed with this railway and I know my son will love it too. However, this set is good for 3+ so we will wait for Christmas 2012 or his birthday in 2013 (I am writing this review while he is asleep). This past Christmas, we bought him the Thomas the Tank Engine: Water Tower Figure 8 Set which is perfect for his age.

Keep in mind that Eli just woke up and probably was overwhelmed by all the gifts we gave him.

He definitely loves it because he is constantly playing with it.

This is what it looks like. It is awesome! And you could change it up a bit. You don't necesarrily have to make a figure eight. You can make a circle or do whatever your little creative mind comes up with.

WhoopDWhoop Wednesday

This week I wanted to share with you what I found onWhoopdWhoop so it is another week of"WhoopdWhoop Wednesday." Hooray! Have you ever heard of WhoopdWhoop? If not, you are missing out. Check it out {HERE}. I've found some really amazing crafts. All you do is trade whoops for fun crafts. I've been planning Eli's 2nd Birthday party for a few months now. I'm doing a train themed party. Eli loves trains! So, I was happy to find these wonderful wooden trains.

This is my favorite because it is stained and the wheels move. It measures 5 inches long. It is 2 1/2 inches at it's tallest points. I think Eli likes playing with it as well.

Aren't these fun or what? I just love them.

This one will be a center piece since it is a lot bigger. I have another one to match. Wow! I sure was lucky to find Sonia Barton.

Sonia Barton's husband Randy has a WoodShop on Etsy found {HERE}. He sells trains, train whistles and doll houses. He is amazing! I think I cleaned them out because I bought five more of the white trains (the middle picture) for Eli's friends goody bags. And, they gave me a discount. Thank you so much Randy. Happy New Year Everyone!I'm finally back from California and it was a really nice vacation. This week for "Try it Tuesday & Review," I had the opportunity of reading The Grace Effect: How the Power of One Life Can Reverse the Corruption of Unbelief. This book was remarkable! It was a story about a family that adopted a girl named Sasha from the Ukraine. It wasn't a simple task either. They went through a long process and had many struggles. Although the family went through many trials, it was amazing to read. It was easy to read and I found that I didn't want to put it down. Sasha simply drew me in. Wonderful book! About The Grace Effect:

"Simply defined, the ‘grace effect’ is an observable phenomenon—that life is demonstrably better where authentic Christianity flourishes.”

What does Christianity give us beyond televangelists, potlucks, and bad basketball leagues? Not much, according to the secular Left. The world, they say, would be a better place without it.

Historian and Christian apologist Larry Taunton has spent much of his career refuting just this sort of thinking, but when he encounters Sasha, a golden-haired orphan girl whose life has been shaped by atheistic theorists, he discovers an unlikely champion for the transforming power of grace.

As an organizer, I love being prepared before heading to the store. I also love using coupons so I plan my shopping trip ahead of time. Rayven Perkins is the creator of the website called Stay a stay at home mom. Shemade some fabulous videos on how to save money. I had the wonderful opportunity of viewing Couponing: The Extreme Video Course. There were 14 different videos which included the following topics: Introduction to CouponingCollecting CouponsOrganize your Coupons7 Rules of CouponingDouble CouponsFree Item CouponsShopping at TargetShopping at CVSShopping at RiteAidShopping at HEBShopping at WalgreensCouponing EthicsYMMV- Your Mileage May VeryYour Stockpile In my opinion, the videos were instructive and easy to understand. Rayven was a great speaker and offered some great advice. I enjoyed learning about the 7 Rules of Couponing. 1-Match Coupons with Sales-If you get the Sunday newspaper, you could see what the store's sales are that week and match your coupons.2-Use a coupon on the smallest item allowed-I love this idea because you want to get as close to FREE as you can. I'd rather get the item for free.3-Utilize B1G1F Sales-This always confused me. Basically, these coupons are awesome. You can use 2 coupons on B1G1 because you are purchasing 2 products. For example: A candle is $10.99 and you have two $5 coupons, you will get 2 candles for .99 cents. Or if you have a B1G1F coupon, it will cancel out the sale price and you get 2 items for free. For example: The item is $8.99 and you have a B1G1F coupon of $8.99, you get two items for FREE. I wanted to share with you my successful

Pillsbury Potluck Party.

First, I invited all of my friends and family to join me in tasting some delicious Pillsbury products. They chose some fun recipes from http://bit.ly/IdeasMadeEasy to share with everyone.

I gave everyone recipe cards and asked them to place their name in the jar for the giveaway.

Here are all of the prizes. Plus, I had a secret prize which was refrigerated.

I made California Crescent Sandwiches. It was the overall winner!

They were delicious and very easy to make.

My sister Cassie made these Crescent Dogs which were a great hit with the kids.

My sister n' law made these wonderful Chocolate Chip and Peppermint Cookie Barks. Yummy!

Overall, the party was fabulous. It was so much fun tasting the different Pillsbury dishes. Pillsbury has a ton of easy recipes that are both delicious and fulfilling. It was hard to narrow it down to the California Crescent Sandwiches but I'm glad I made them because they were a hit.

This week, I asked her if she had any tips on staying organized with a toddler. Is it possible? She gave some great advice and it was short and sweet. She said, "We always tell our clients to organize the room first that is bothering them the most. It is almost impossible to stay completely organized with a toddler."She told me that Target has some really nice looking open top containers (different colors & different fabrics). Wednesday's Wonderful Review

This week I wanted to do another"Wednesday's Wonderful Review." I have been blessed with the opportunity of doing some really fun reviews lately. And I mean REALLY FUN!Today, I wanted to share with you a new movie coming out calledGame of your life(Presented by Walmart & P&G) This movie is set to air on NBC Friday, December 2nd at 8/7cso be sure to mark your calendars.

First, check out the trailer for Game of your life found {HERE}. You might recognize Lea Thompson from Back to the Future. She plays Dr. Abbie Lambert in Game of your life. Also, Titus Makin Jr. plays Zach Taylor (main character) and you could see him as David on the TV series Glee. There are some really great characters to watch in this movie.

Here is the synopsis...

"When industrious high school gamer Zach Taylor lands a prized scholarship to the prestigious Digital Institute of Game Design (DIGD), his future breaks wide open. The opportunity to study under gaming legend Marcus Bentton and alongside the country’s most creative minds will certainly propel him into a successful career as a video game designer. That is, if he can pass the infamous freshman project that eliminates more than half of the class within the first three months.

Paired with brilliant yet socially awkward teammates Phillip and Donald, the trio persuades Sara Ramirez – a determined and striking team leader with whom Zach has a history (and possibly a future) – to join their team. Working off-campus in the teched-out Lincoln Alley loft, the four set out to involve the entire campus in a quirky new social interactive game. I was given special access to watch and review this movie before everyone else. Yippee! It was definitely a "family movie night" because I got to cuddle up next to my husband. I'm pretty sure that the movie I viewed wasn't completely edited since it did need some tweaking here and there (Ex: Music and transitions). However, the story made up for the minor mistakes. I loved Zach Taylor's character the most. He was so positive and kind towards others. I felt that he had a tough decision to make but he continued to be honest with himself and others. I also loved the relationship and connection he had with his dad. We need our families to get through these hard times. Overall, it was a pretty good movie and I'm glad I had the opportunity of watching it with my husband.

In my opinion, I enjoyed reading this book to Eli because it had a special message about service. Santa received help from animals he met along the way. And, Christmas was saved once again.

In my opinion, I loved this book about a train who got lost and needed help. Luckily, he received help from Action Chugger. I loved the message this book portrayed. We sometimes need help from others. Thank goodness we all have family/friends to help us in times of need.

I have the opportunity of sharing with you my thoughts about the little comforts that make the holiday season special for me. There are many reasons why I love the holiday season. And, I could write a fifty page story about the joy I feel when the weather changes, the leaves fall and the holidays approach. But, I was asked to write a short post about the one thing that gives me comfort when the temperature goes down.

“Is it that time of year already? Why, yes it is. So, grab your favorite blanket and get comfortable as I share with you the love I have for holiday comforts.

I grew up in California so there wasn’t much change to the weather. However, I did wear an occasional sweatshirt or light jacket during the holiday season. Now, I live in Utah where coats are a necessary item in my wardrobe. Although my husband complains about the snow and cold weather, I simply love it. It allows me to cuddle up with my favorite cozy blanket and knit a Christmas stocking or read a favorite book. It allows me to put on the fire and stay in my pj’s all day if I wanted to (Note: I am a stay at home mom). Although, I have been tempted to stay in my pajamas all day, I am not the type. I have a routine and that means that I must change my clothes by at least 8 or 9am. But, that doesn't mean I don't get excited when it is time to put my pj's back on.

I believe everyone must have a soft blanket or a pair of slippers. My son loves his bunny blanket and so it has become a comfort to him to carry around everywhere he goes. Life wouldn't be the same if we weren't able to change our wardrobe four times a year or wear socks to bed or wear our favorite homemade scarf or wear that fabulous white winter coat. I know it isn't convenient to grab a coat as you run out the door to get the mail. But, it sure is fun to be comfortable and look fabulous. That is why, I love my holiday comforts….white coat….cozy blanket…new slippers….the list goes on and on and on. What are your favorite holiday comforts?

This week I wanted to share with you tips for chore charts.My mom sometimes teaches organizational lessons at church and here are her notes... “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

You never know when chore charts will help!!!

Children need to do chores so they learn to work
and start doing the simplest jobs.

How early do you start?

Toddlers want to help early to feel needed.
I have noticed Eli helping me as much as he can. He loves handing me pillows to make the bed and trash bags to put in the trash.

Habits are formed early. So, take advantage of their enthusiasm

Ensign Jan. 1986 “Delegating Work & Responsibility to Children” “Why do children exhibit early in childhood a willingness, even a need to take part in the work of the home and then when they are older and their efforts can be even more helpful, they seem less willing? The answer lies, in part, with our own attitude toward work as well as our response to our children’s earliest efforts.” We have to show a good attitude towards our “labors”.

There are many CHORE CHARTS so you have to find what is effective for your children; for their ages; for your family dynamics. Maybe Saturdays work the best for most of your chores. There was a family that was doing most of their chores on Friday until Mom asked “Would you rather do a couple each day and not so many on Friday?” They decided to change it to a couple of chores each day. Instead of nagging, charts can help develop responsibility and a sense of independence.
Tips on chore charts...
 Determine the job

 Explain what is expected
(You can try reward systems for the younger children. It is important to let your older children help in the decision process)
I remember when my mom had a list of all of the chores and we got to choose which one to do. Once they were all crossed off, we were done. I always hated doing chores but now I realize how important it is to have them.

 Get a commitment/Be consistent

 Shower children with praise or a special note for a job well done

 Teach your children how to do the chore and work with them with love and encouragement
Have children take notes & keep cards with instructions for future

Try a variety of charts to find which works the best; change routine

 Make it fun too - treats work for all ages!!! Let children help choose incentives & rewards

 Let go but let them know consequences (point system)

Here are some ideas to make it fun...
SUNSHINE JAR (slips of paper with “get favorite dinner”; “favorite dessert”; “date with mom”; “date with dad”; “pick a Red Box movie”; “extra time to play”; “$1 for Dollar store”; “Mom does my job”

Blitz Sessions – set timers to do jobs; switch & do another

Rock & Roll Clean – music & set timer for 15 min.

I made this one for my husband.However, this one was different because my client wanted a red heel and a white toe.I love that my clients know exactly what they want. It makes it easier for me.

My client also wanted snowflakes on the back instead of the snowmen kissing.

I loved how it turned out and I hope she does too.

Hey bloggers...are you ready for
"Sweetly Organize IT?" Well, this week I wanted to show you that I re-organized my bathroom drawers.I was so tired of them!So, finally I went to work and even cleaned them out. Wahoo!! My son loves to get into the bottom two drawers so we shall see how long they will stay organized.I also wanted to get rid of the things we don't normally use. I'm trying to "use up" shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I have so many samples and travel sized bottles. I just want to get rid of them. BEFORE PHOTOS

Sweetly Made Saturday

Since Halloween is right around the corner, I thoughtit would be fun to show you my Halloween decorations for"Sweetly Made Saturday."

I made these jars at Super Saturday (a church activity just for the women). I chose the easiest project. All I had to do was stick the vinyl labels (Eye of Newt, Bat Wings, Spider Legs, Moldy Bones and Prickled Pumpkin) on the jars. Easy!

The RIP sign just doesn't stay put outside so I brought it inside.

I made the BOO and Give Thanks sign at the last RS activity.

In my opinion, The Christmas Lodge reminded me of a Hallmark film. I absolutely LOVE Hallmark films! They are so heartwarming and inspirational. I also love Christmas movies because they get me in the spirit of the season. I loved Mary's determination and faith to restore the lodge. The Christmas Lodge was a place where her family spent lots of time together. The film reminded me of how grateful I am to have a loving family. I definitely recommend this film to everyone! It is definitely worth watching especially this Christmas season.

Sweetly Organize IT

Do you remember two weeks ago on"Sweetly Organize IT?"I'll refresh your memory...I shared some of my mom's thoughts on "Getting rid of clutter." Well, lately I've been going through my home and trying to get rid of clutter.I sure have accumulated a lot of things! My basement is full of containers of stuff. Yikes! So, I was given a few more containers from my mom. Yes, I still had some of my things stored at her home. And she was ready to pass them on to me. One container contained baking equipment. I looked through the entire container and asked myself a few questions... (using my mom's notes) -what do I need?-what can I give away?-have I used it?-will I use it in the next 6 months-1 year? I have one cupboard that contains baking things so I decided to organize it.

BEFORE

Eli likes to look in this cupboard so I thought I would re-arrange it so that he wouldn't break anything.

AFTER

I was clever to put some cake pans in the cake holder. I also put the longer pans by my glass pans in another cupboard. Most of the "stuff" in the container is going to the DI. I just don't need any of it anymore. I kept the train, Mickey, Popeye, Christmas tree and Donald Duck pans. After I went through the container, it was completely empty. I found "home" for everything and now I have an extra container. I will probably use it for Eli's old clothes. I was quite proud of myself. Have you gone through a container yet? If not, choose one and get rid of clutter.

WhoopDWhoop Wednesday

This week for"WhoopDWhoop Wednesday,"I wanted to spotlight a very talented individual. I swapped one of my knitted headbands for this awesome toy train.

The train was done by Sonia Barton's husband. She wrote,

"The Train has been coated with a Danish Oil, that Stains, Seals & Protects the wood.

It measures 10 inches long. It is 4 3/4 inches at it's tallest points."

I was pretty impressed with the train. I thought it would be a perfect centerpiece for Eli's 2nd birthday party.

Can you guess the theme? Yes, I've been planning it for awhile now but that is what I love to do. Also, I guess he can play with it. :)

This week for"Try it Tuesday & Review," I had the opportunity of watching a brand new movie called,The Mighty Macsfound {HERE}. The Mighty Macs stars Carla Gugino (Night at the Museum, Watchmen), David Boreanaz (Angel, Bones, Buffy the Vampire slayer) and Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn (Alice doesn't live here anymore). It was directed by Tim Chambers. It is rated G and is an 1 hr and 42 minutes long. This film will be out in select theatres on Friday, October 21st so be sure to check your local listings.

Here is the storyline...

It's 1971. Cathy Rush is a woman ahead of her time ... and she's about to embark on an adventure for the ages. A new era is dawning in the country and in collegiate athletics, where a national champion will be crowned for the first time in women's basketball.

In the lead up to this historical season, major universities are preparing their game plans to win that first title. Meanwhile a tiny all-women's Catholic college in Philadelphia has a more modest goal: find a coach before the season begins. Providentially, Cathy Rush is about to find Immaculata College.

Recently married, Cathy is dealing with the aftermath of a truncated playing career. While cultural norms would have her staying at home, she's willing to do the hard work necessary to help her new team reach their goals—or perhaps she's just trying to achieve her unfulfilled dreams through them.

From the beginning, her challenges are as imposing as the big-school teams Immaculata will face on the court. Cathy learns there is no gymnasium on campus, she receives little support from the school's Mother Superior, and the school is in dire financial straits. To top it off, she may not even have enough players to field a team!

While it appears the Macs don't have a prayer, all hope is not lost. With the help of Sister Sunday—a spunky assistant coach—and the support of a booster club of elderly nuns, Coach Rush creates a new game plan that just might bring the team—and the school—together.

Here is my opinion...

Although it is fun to go to the movie theatre with my husband, it was really nice to watch The Mighty Macs in the comfort of my own home. I love previewing movies before they go on screen.

In my opinion, this film was fantastic! It was inspired by a true story. Don't we love films that are based on a true story? The characters were well thought out espeically Cathy's character. Cathy Rush (Carla Gugino) was a tough and determined coach. Although she had difficult techniques for her girls, she was committed. She had the "faith to dream big and the passion to change lives." The story truly was about determination, sacrifice, faith and hope. It truly was an inspiration. And as Cathy stated in the movie, "Anything can happen if you are committed to your dreams." Isn't that an inspiring quote? I love it and I bet you will too!

Again, the film doesn't come out till Friday, October 21st so be sure to check your local listings.

"Sweetly Made Saturday"

Hey everyone...for

"Sweetly Made Saturday"

I wanted to share what I made with green yarn.

About a year ago I made this green sweater. It took several months to complete but I finally finished it.

Will I make another sweater? Probably not!
It took way too long and I hardly wear it.

So, I thought I would use the rest of the yarn to knit a scarf. This is what I came up with. It is a simple pattern (Cast on 22 but I did 34, Row 1-K2, P2, Row 2-P2, K2--Repeat 2 rows till desired length). I should try the cable stitch next. But, here is the finished project.

What do you think? Do you love it? I sure do. It will be perfect for winter. It is never too early to start on your winter projects.

I only wished that there were Hallmark commercials. If you are an "ER" fan, then you will love that Sherry Springfield (Dr. Susan Lewis) is in it. My favorite part of the movie was when Katie's father hugged her. That was such a touching moment. The only problem I had with the film was that it ended abruptly. I wanted to see more but I guess all good films have to end at some point. If you are looking for a hearfelt film to watch, be sure to check out The Shunning.

Today for"Sweetly Organize IT,"I thought it would be fun to learn from my sweet mom.She is a professional organizer. Sometimes she is asked to teach lessons on organizing and of course she says, "YES!" So, today's lesson is onGetting rid of clutter Have you heard this saying?"People who are organized are just too lazy to look for things!"I love it! When is the best time to get rid of clutter?How about starting when the kids go "Back to school?" This is a great time of year to declutter because the kids aren't home to distract you. If you decide it is time to get rid of clutter, here are Stephanie Culp's 10 rules for taking action with clutter... 1. Stop Procrastinating – decide what you are going to do with the next piece of paper, item of clothing, etc. that you pick up. Put things away right after you use them. (According to one organizer 95% of a nice house is just putting stuff back where it belongs)

Personally, I have a hard time putting things back so I end up taking more time re-organizing.

2. Quit Making Excuses – just jump right in and get started.

-What are your excuses? No time – get up earlier or stay up later

-Don’t know where to start – walk through your house & decide on one spot

-Create a priority list/set a time limit/REWARD YOURSELF (candy)

-No alone time – trade babysitting with friend/personal day off

-Can’t get motivated – trade “services” with a friend/turn on music

-Find out “peak” energy time

-Work???? – take a personal day off of work

3. Use it or Lose it – if you are not using it now or haven’t used it in 1 year, get rid of it. Don’t keep anything that’s not beautiful, useful or loved. (Don’t feel guilty about holding on to wedding/birthday gifts that you won’t ever use; if you have 2 of something get rid of 1; get rid of unfinished craft projects). Don’t buy something you think you might use someday. If you do buy something new, ask “where will it go”

4. Learn to Let Go – Be progressive and don’t take up valuable space by keeping everything you have ever gotten. Remember – if you don’t need, don’t want, don’t like, don’t use & don’t have room – WHY KEEP!!! (If it is hard for you – box things up and date. Store away & if you haven’t opened in 6 months – 1 year throw out!)

5. Be A Giver – give things away, right away. That great sweater that you got at the cheapest price ever but have never worn, can be worn by a less fortunate person.

6. Set Limits – limit the amount of space you allocate to clutter and needless paper.

-Do you buy anything from Costco? Well, my mom gave an example about how she can't buy everything at Costco anymore because she has a smaller home. It has been worth it because now she isn't frustrated with her cupboards & drawers being out of control.

-Determine what you actually use and toss out the rest.

7. Use the In and Out Inventory Rule – if something new comes in, something old goes out. For example: Before your children’s birthdays have them help you find things that can go to less fortunate children.

8. Less Is More – the less clutter and out of control paper that you have, the more time, money and energy you will have. Teach your children –pick out 1 art paper/month to keep.

Someone once said, “We attain, accumulate, and collect and then we have to pay for it, keep track of, protect it, clean it, store it, ensure it, worry about it – this takes energy and effort. Later we have to move it, hide it, apologize for it, and argue over it. All this stifles us and robs us of freedom because it requires so much of our time to take care of.”

9. Keep Everything in Its Place – DISPLAY file box, magazine holder, Sweater/shoe boxes, card box, coupon holder, notebook, etc.
-Find a “home” for everything (every room should have a purpose – some things might need to be in more than one place)

-Keep like things together.
-Label the home-That way your family has no excuses for putting things back in the correct place. You can use pictures for children. You can buy a Costco labeler. They range from $29.89 to $89.99.
-Keep everything in its place.

-Keep things nearest the place where they are used.

-Use drawer dividers, baskets, shelves, containers, hanging space, low space, etc.

-Children’s Rooms - make it easy for THEM! They like having places for their things. My mom helped her grandsom Christopher one weekend and he said, “Grandma my favorite time with you this weekend was buying those ‘boxes’ at Target." Wow! Children love to be organized as well.

-Install shelves, hooks, over-the-door racks, shoe racks for floor, plastic bags for game parts, smaller toys, Sterilite containers, file box or drawer for papers. Make things low if possible so children can reach.

-Kitchen/bath/desk drawers - plastic dividers

-Bedrooms - neat knicks for socks/lingerie. Target Sterilite 15 qt. for sweaters, etc. Sterilite shoe boxes/racks for shoes.

-Garage – Gorilla racks with Target Rubbermaid 10/14/18 gallon

10. Compromise – stop letting your perfectionism keep you from doing or letting someone else help you to do something. Remember that perfect is not the same as excellent and sometimes good is good enough.

-Delegate – Choose Charts/Chore Time
-Laundry Room – have clothes basket for each family member

-10 Minute Chore Box – each person’s box contains specific chores that need to be completed. They need to take care of their specific chore by the end of the day.

-10 Minute Pick-Up – set a timer and take care of jobs during 10 min.

-10 Minute Luxuries – do something nice for yourself!

The important thing is to GET RID OF CLUTTER

Instead of the “household shuffle” DO the “household Shovel”!!!

“When in doubt, throw it out”. Don’t know where to start – pick a room to and get started!!!

It is that time of week to show you what I did for"Sweetly Made Saturday." I made these cute Santa Claus 2 Christmas stockings These are my popular stockings.I love how they match!I used the same exact white yarn but for some reason, one is different than the rest.Can you tell?Well, I can. It still bothers me but that is the way life is. I still think they turned out!
