It’s official...there is absolutely no limit to what master modeler Warren Elsmore can create with LEGO bricks! He’s wowed us with architectural icons from around the globe in Brick City. He amazed us with the wonders of the ancient, natural, and modern world in Brick Wonders. And now, Elsmore takes us to the movies in Brick Flicks, as he recreates iconic scenes from the world’s most famous films. Movie fans and LEGO lovers alike will delight in brick-by-brick recreations of scenes from:
  • Raiders of the Lost Ark
  • Planet of the Apes
  • Rocky
  • Grease
  • King Kong
  • Lawrence of Arabia, and many, many others.

About:
In Brick Flicks they recreated 60 famous movies from one of the earliest color films, The Wizard of Oz right up to the computer generated imagery of The Life of Pi. The book has chapters organized by movie genre and cover action and adventure, science fiction and horror, drama and classics, as well as musicals and comedy. With more than 100 gorgeous full-color photos of his creations, Elsmore provides commentary on how they were made along with interesting facts about the movies themselves. Readers will also enjoy easy-to-follow instructions for recreating many of the iconic scenes in their own homes.

Warren Elsmore
is a LEGO modeler who has worked with several commercial companies in the United Kingdom, building plastic models to help them visualize their conceptions. As a hobbyist, he is best known for his 13 1/2-foot-long LEGO model of London’s famous St. Pancras railroad station.

In my opinion:
Do you have a husband or father who enjoys building legos and watching movies. Then this is the perfect book for them. This book is filled with colorful pictures of customized mini figures from well known movies. My favorite page was the Wizard of Oz. It brought so many childhood memories of watching it as a family during Thanksgiving. I also loved the short descriptions of the movies on each page and the paragraph describing each movie. My son and daughter who both love building legos enjoyed looking through the movies too. Enjoy looking through a creative book that is filled with memorable movies.
