Try it Tuesday & Review {The Shape of Knitting & Giveaway}

Today for
"Try it Tuesday & Review,"
I have another spectacular knitting book to review called,
The Shape of Knitting is Like a Master Class on Shaping

Along with the traditional techniques Lynne Barr finds most useful for shaping, she shares new discoveries for creating layered, dimensional shapes. She focuses on cast-ons and bind-offs, increases and decreases, short rows, dividing and combining stitches, and adding sections – showcasing her masterminded techniques in 22 designs that are fashion forward, upbeat, and easy to wear. Projects include unique slippers, hats, cowls, scarves, bags, sweaters, and even sleep shades. Projects can be finished quickly, allowing knitters to grasp new techniques and quickly try the next.

The Shape of Knitting includes beautiful images of completed projects, along with step-by-step instructions and photos of techniques in progress, leaving nothing to the imagination.
In my opinion:
This knitting book is fascinating! It may be too good to be true! I was super impressed with Lynne Barr's creative knitting projects especially the Big Button cowl. The cowl would be perfect for Utah's winters and it looked super stylish as well. Each pattern was detailed and the instructions were perfectly outlined for the average knitter. Barr also included some twist slippers as well as square arches shoes which I'm pretty sure you can't find anywhere else.  Barr's talent of knitting different projects was outlined throughout the book. The book also had a techniques section with step by step photos and instructions. Overall, I was very impressed and intimidated yet hopeful and wanted a challenge.
Now it's time for a giveaway!!!
