I have the opportunity of reviewing
Adventures in Pompom Land:
25 cute Projects made from handmade pompoms
By Myko Diann Bocek

About:

Are you ready for spring? Enter the wonderful land of pompoms, where cute critters and creative adventures await you. From a yellow peep and a little lamb, to a spiky hedgehog and a graceful swan, these 25 adorable creatures channel vintage charm and are perfect for Easter baskets, cake toppers, home decor, or holiday gifts.

All of the projects in this unique collection begin with handmade, not pre-purchased, pompoms, and every step is beautifully laid out with easy-to-follow instructions and plenty of images. Crafters can then create these charming creatures out of wool yarn, roving, and felt.

Distinct textures, minature felt details, and the illusion of fluffy feathers, manes, and tails add to the special look of each creature. It's fun to do and every project is off-the-charts adorable!

About the author:

Myko Diann Bocek grew up on a small farm in Delaware where she raised a menagerie of animals, and this childhood experience influences her work as an artist. She creates animals out of pompoms and needle-felted details and sells them through her Etsy shop (etsy.com/shop/MykoBocekStudios). Her work has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens and Celebrate 365. Myko lives in El Mirage, AZ.

How cute is this bunny?

 In my opinion:

If you are a crafter, this is the book for you. I especially loved Myko's dedication page that said, "in loving memory of my later father, who always encouraged me to pursue my love of art." We always need people in our lives to encourage us to create something marvelous and that is what Myko did. She created some of the cutest creatures and if you aren't a crafter, you could always check out her Etsy shop {HERE}. Her creatures make perfect heartfelt gifts. Some of my favorite creatures were the fox, bunny, mouse and snowman/snowgirl. They were so detailed yet Myko provides Pompom-Making Essentials instructions so anyone could learn how to make pompom cuties.
