Try it Tuesday & Review {Fiona Goble Knitting books}

Thanks for checking out
"Try it Tuesday & Review & Giveaway"
Today, I'm excited to share a new author I came across named
Fiona Goble.
About the author:
Fiona Goble is an accomplished knitter and creator of the popular book Knit Your Own Wedding. She has also written Noah's Knits, Knitivity, and craft articles. Goble owns a shop where she sells her woven goods and teaches knitting.
Also, she is the author of
Fairy Tale Knits and The Twelve Knits of Christmas.

About Fairy Tale Knits:
Once upon a time...
Craft queen Fiona Goble brings six fairy tale favorites to life in her newest book, Fairy Tale Knits: 20 Enchanting Characters to Make. Charming illustrations and step-by-step instructions make it easy to create beloved characters such as Goldilocks, Rapunzel, and Beauty and the Beast.
Other "fairy" nice features include:
-Material checklists
-Tips and tricks for beginners and skilled knitters alike
-Patterns for supporting cast members
Fairy Tale Knits has something for everybody-it's as much fun for adults as it is for kids.
In my opinion:
I have a new love interest. Fiona Goble's book, Fairy Tale Knits is perfect for entertaining your children at bedtime. Each knitted character has its own story that you can read to your child. Along with the story is a step by step pattern that seems farily easy. Goble includes a materials list as well as a few characters from each story. I'm looking forward to when I have time to knit these darling characters. My favorite characters are Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Three Little Pigs. Some of the characters have clothes that can be removed so they are also fun to play with. I think this is one of the cutest and cleverest books I've seen. I definitely recommend this to anyone that has children or grandchildren.
About The Twelve Knits of Christmas:
13 Knitters Knitting, 12 Drummers Drumming...
The 60 million knitters in America can now bring the popular Christmas carol "The Twelve Days of Christmas" to life with The Twelve Knits of Christmas. Knitters everywhere are sure to sing its praises as they create the twelve characters of the traditional holiday song.
Author Fiona Goble provides easy-to-follow instructions for each type of stitch, so even inexperienced knitters can create each character with ease. The Twelve Knits of Christmas also features:
-a list of materials required for each character
-full-color  photographs of the finished dolls
-a paperboard pear tree tucked in the back-the perfect place for your partrige to reside
The Twelve Knits of Christmas also doubles as a storybook, complete with adorable illustrations and verses of the Christmas carol. The darling characters make perfect gifts, stocking stuffers, ornaments, or toys to help teach children the words to this timeless Christmas song.
In my opinion:
I absoultely love Christmas so when I was given the opportunity to review The Twelve Knits of Christmas, I was super excited. Now, I just need lots and lots of money to buy all of the materials to make each character. Of course, one needs to make the entire set (well, one for each day). I wanted to start right away but of course I have Christmas stocking orders so it will need to wait. I loved this book. Again, Fiona Goble didn't dissappoint me. She is a very talented author with an act of creativity. These patterns are made for a beginner so anyone who knows how to knit can make these adorable characters. The book also comes with a paper pear tree so you can mount your partrige. My favorite characters are the Seven Swans a-Swimming and the Nine Ladies Dancing. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with Goble's work. She is extraodinary and I definitely recommend these two books to anyone that loves to knit.
One of my lucky readers will win a copy of The Twelve Knits of Christmas.
